Your Role:

Your role will involve maintaining an engaging presence and developing daily thumb-stopping visuals on social media channels and platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook. You will also develop and maintain a comprehensive calendar on all designated social media outlets, dive into analytics, track impact, explore new online communities, and monitor online competitor presence. This intern will manage our CEA CAPA Content Creator program, a student engagement pathway to develop short form video and photo content for CEA CAPA to use in promoting across various marketing outlets, including social media.

This is a part time internship that requires 15-20 hours/week. The standard work schedule is Monday-Friday. Hours may vary by day.

Pay Rate: $15/hr.

What You’ll Do:

• Craft, edit, publish and optimize daily organic content (original text, images, videos. or graphics) that builds meaningful communities and increases brand awareness.
• Regularly track, analyze, and report on key social performance metrics (e.g., engagement, reach, clicks, conversions, and growth) to assess the effectiveness of campaigns. 
• Collaborate with graphic designers, copywriters, and other team members to create compelling written and visually appealing social media content. 
• Stay up-to-date with algorithm changes, platform updates, social media trends, and emerging social channels and tools.
• Provide training, oversight, and support to our student Content Creators and assist with influencers to complete requirements on time and to brand standards. 

What Makes a Great Candidate:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Prior internship or relevant coursework experience in social media or marketing.
• Experience crafting and editing long and short-form video content. 
• Familiarity with social media management tools and analytics platforms.
• Basic knowledge of paid social advertising platforms such as Meta and TikTok Ads is a plus.
• Eagerness to gain hands-on experience in crafting and optimizing paid ad campaigns.

Core Skills 

• Strong writing skills to craft compelling and concise captions, headlines, and calls to action.
• Data-driven decision making and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in video editing software to create and edit videos.
• Basic graphic design skills; keen eye for visual aesthetics in imagery and design.
